Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad is set to lead a gathering of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee tomorrow evening in Peshawar to observe the Ramadan moon.
Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Azad has urged all Pakistanis to participate in sighting the crescent, expressing a hope that the holy month will commence uniformly across the country.
If the moon is sighted, the holy month is expected to commence on Tuesday.
Simultaneously, meetings of other zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will convene at their respective locations on Shaban 29 after Asr prayers to observe the Ramadan moon of Hijri year 1445.
As per the Met Office, the Ramadan moon is anticipated to appear around 2 pm on Sunday, and it may be sighted the following day, with an age exceeding 28 hours.
The holy month, observed with profound religious devotion, will witness millions of Pakistanis and billions of Muslims worldwide observing fasting from dawn till sunset, with fasting hours ranging from 12 to 17 hours depending on geographical locations.
