China is gearing up for the launch of the Cheng E6 lunar mission in the first half of 2024, which includes a Pakistani satellite as part of its payload.
The China National Space Administration (CNSA) recently announced on the social media platform Weibo that the Cheng E6 mission is on track for its moon exploration.
This mission exemplifies international collaboration by carrying payloads from Pakistan, the European Space Agency (ESA), France, and Italy.
French equipment will be used to test for radioactive gas within Cheng E6's scientific instruments. The lunar mission will also feature the ESA's Negative Ion Detector and Italy's Valle Brett Radar System.
The inclusion of Pakistan's CubeSat spacecraft, set to be placed in orbit around the moon, is a significant development.
