Ali Amin Gandapur, supported by the Sunni Ittehad Council, has become the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after winning with 90 votes in the new provincial assembly. His rival, Dr. Abdullah from PML-N, only got 16 votes.
Earlier, Babar Saleem Swati, also from the Sunni Ittehad Council, was chosen as the Speaker of the KP Assembly with 89 votes, while his opponent got 17 votes. Swati has been sworn in as the Speaker. The members of the Sunni Ittehad Council congratulated him.
