According to reliable sources, Muhammad Aurangzeb is likely to become the next finance minister of the country. This news comes as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is getting ready to choose his federal cabinet.
It's said that Ishaq Dar, a former finance minister and close to Nawaz Sharif, might not be considered because of health problems. However, there's a chance he could be offered another important position, considering his past struggles with the IMF program during the Pakistan Democratic Movement.
Muhammad Aurangzeb, who used to be the President of HBL bank, is the top choice for the finance minister job. He has more than 30 years of experience in international banking, including being the CEO of JP Morgan’s Global Corporate Bank in Asia.
