Pakistan’s Naval Chief, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, inaugurated the country’s first Maritime Science and Technology Park (PMSTP) in Karachi.
This pioneering facility is set to play a key role in addressing Pakistan's economic challenges by fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and the government. The PMSTP will focus on several critical sectors, including naval technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, ocean renewable energy, seafood processing, shipbuilding, and coastal tourism.
During the second day of the International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) in Karachi, the navy emphasized that the park aims to boost Pakistan’s blue economy and plans to expand to other cities like Islamabad, Lahore, and Gwadar.
