Pat Cummins, the captain of the Australia cricket team, showcased exceptional bowling skills to secure a 79-run victory against Pakistan in the second Test, ultimately winning the three-match series 2-0. On the fourth day, Cummins took 10 wickets, dismantling Pakistan's resistance.
As the match seemed poised for a thrilling finish on the final day, Cummins made a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan's last recognized batsman, and reaching his milestone of 250 Test wickets.
Cummins then took the wicket of Aamer Jamal, leading to an extended half-hour of play. During this time, he claimed his fifth wicket of the innings and the 10th of the match, securing the win by cleaning up the tail. This remarkable performance marked Cummins' second 10-wicket haul in 57 Tests and capped off a stellar year where he guided Australia to victory in the World Test Championship, a 50-overs World Cup, and the retention of the Ashes in England.
After Australia set a challenging target of 317 runs, Pakistan showed resilience with several partnerships, testing the formidable Australian bowling attack. However, Cummins' exceptional efforts ultimately led Australia to a well-deserved triumph.
