There are doubts over Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir's participation in the upcoming three T20 matches against Ireland as he is yet to obtain a visa.
While the Men in Green have already arrived in Ireland for the series starting from May 10, Amir remains in Pakistan.
If Amir fails to secure his visa by Thursday, he will have to join the team in Leeds on May 15 for the T20I series in England. Notably, Amir has previously played a Test match in Ireland back in 2018.
As of now, no replacement player has been considered if Amir misses out on the matches, potentially impacting Pakistan's World Cup preparations given his significant role in the squad.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is actively communicating with Cricket Ireland regarding Amir's visa status. Although all players, including Amir, submitted their visa applications immediately after the Kakul camp, the PCB is anxiously awaiting Amir's visa approval.
