How much of Pakistan belongs to Afghanistan historically?

None of it. Not an inch of Pakistan belongs to Afghanistan historically. The reason being that historical claims are not a real thing. I always find it laughable whenever someone tries to pass off historical claims as something that actually makes sense or matters in the modern world.

Let me provide an example. The Ottoman Empire ruled over much of the Balkans for centuries. It ruled over much of the region of modern-day Greece for about half a millennium. Should Turkey now lay claims over the region of Greece because of some historical claims? Or should Greece lay claims over Turkey based on the control of the Byzantine Empire over Asia Minor? Or perhaps the Italians should claim them both based on the Roman Empire? Or maybe the Persians? We could go on about this forever. This example pretty much shows exactly why historical claims are ridiculous.
Afghanistan can claim much of Pakistan on the basis of the historic Durrani Empire. However, such claims hold no weight in the modern world. Let’s not forget that prior to the rise of the Durrani Empire, Afghanistan itself was a divided land. Eastern Afghanistan was a part of the Mughal Empire, western Afghanistan was a part of the Safavid Empire and northern Afghanistan was under the control of the Uzbek Khanates. This was the status of Afghanistan for centuries. Should we now also divide Afghanistan up on the basis of these historic claims between India, Iran and Uzbekistan as well?

As for the ridiculous myth of the British Empire dividing the Pashtun people. The British never divided the Pashtun people. The Durrani Empire waged a war against the Sikh Empire and lost. That is why Dost Muhammad Khan launched a desperate attempt to take back Peshawar in 1837. However, the Afghans were unable to make any real gains in the Battle of Jamrud. As such, the region remained under the control of the Sikh Empire. The Sikh Empire was defeated and annexed by the British in 1849. That is how the British came in control of the region. Further territory was gained by the British following the signing of the Treaty of Gandamak, after defeating the Afghans in the Second Anglo-Afghan War in 1879. Mortimer Durand came about a decade later. He did not divide the Pashtun people. They had already been divided before the British even came to the region. He just set up spheres of influence and tweaked the border a little bit.

The so called historical claims are as good as counting the waves on beach. As you start to count one another comes and subsumes it until you loose count and of course wasting a lot of time.

The victim of Pak study student spotted, Pak study is full of lies. shortly I can say, there is no country by the name of Pakistan, it was just a British project and maybe continue for some more years. One part of Pakistan, Bangladesh is already cut. This region has two countries ( Afghanistan and India). there are no more countries here.

I haven’t even read Pak study history. My take on history comes from neutral authors who aren’t even from this region, so they have no such biases. You could actually pick up any history book and it would confirm what I wrote.
As for your second point, you can continue to live in denial all you want. It won’t change the reality of the situation. Pakistan exists and is recognized by the entire world, including Afghanistan. It will almost certainly continue to exist for the coming decades as well, since the stability is actually increasing.

if a country doesn’t have history, then what you will read?. Sometimes you go after the Arab history, sometimes you go after the Turkish history, sometimes you go after the Afghan history. you guys are running away from your identity.
you are Indian and feel proud that you are Indian. if you are that much interested in the history, don’t go for away, read the near and true history, how Pakistan become the state in this region. It was the famous rule of British( Divide and Rule). you have to read the Book of Wali khan( Facts are Facts , The untold story of the India partition).
Remember one last point, Pakistan will never become a real state, until is again join their root(India). it will run by mafia( army ) by force for some more years.

The concept of country itself is quite new. Do you have any idea about that? Poor education system in Afghanistan could be a reason you guys are poor in history. There’s no such thing as Punjabis related to India. India itself is not one entity. In north, there live Indo-Aryan, in south Dravidians, in north east mongoloids. How come a mongoloid Indian is similar to a Punjabi? You guys need to come up with better logic.

Yes, there is no country called Pakistan, but that ‘no country' has 7 times your country's population. The GDP per capita of ‘no country' is more than twice compared to your country. ‘No country's’ one city alone has more GDP than your entire country. ‘No country' also hosted 4 million people, more than a ninth of your entire population as refugees. ‘No country’ also has twice as many Pathans as your country. ‘No country’ is much more successful at anti terror operation than your country. ‘No country’ is also not involved in a major civil war unlike you.

“it was just a British project and maybe continue for some more years.”
Afghan govt is predicted to stand no more than one year after US withdrawal. So first concentrate on your own country. Everyone in your country is leaving, those who can afford it go by plane to first world countries while others cross the border to Pakistan, Iran, and other countries. Even your soldiers are fleeing to Tajikistan, and you are telling us that our nation will live only a few years more.

Afghanistan is a new country. If Pakistan can’t claim the history of Indus valley, Gandhara etc. Then Italy can’t claim the history of roman empire, as there was no such things as Italy before. Same way, Afghanistan can’t claim any of it’s history as the term Afghanistan was introduced in 18th century and the country came into existence in 20th century.

If there is no claim than why this question?
The answer is Part of Afghanistan was occupied by British and now it is occupied by British puppets Pakistani army.
Until Attack Bridge was and us part of Afghanistan.
In the referendum Pashtoons on Pakistan of side of Durand line was never give the choice of Independence or joining Afghanistan.
the hypocrisy of matter is that the same asks fir right of self determination for Kashmiris.

No one cares anymore. Afghanistan can persist with its claims, but they are unrecognized by any other nation in the world. No one even considers the region as disputed territory. It is considered as part of Pakistan and will continue to be so.
