During the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 group stage match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and UP Warriorz (UPW) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on March 4, Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry exhibited her exceptional skills. Perry showcased her aggressive batting style, scoring a rapid 58 runs off just 37 balls, leading RCB to a victory over UPW by 23 runs. In a remarkable moment during her innings, one of Perry's powerful sixes broke the window of the TATA Punch.ev car, which was placed on the boundary as the Player of the Series award.
Nearly 11 days later, Tata Motors made a heartwarming gesture towards Perry. Following her outstanding performance in the WPL 2024 eliminator against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 15, where she was named Player of the Match, Perry received a special gift from TATA Motors.
In that crucial match, Perry scored a fifty as RCB secured a victory over MI by five runs. TATA Motors presented Perry with the broken window from the vehicle she damaged during the RCB vs UPW league stage game. They captioned the frame with "PerryPowerfulPunch."
