Ahadees and Explanations

Pakistan Forums provides Ahadees and explanations Forum where you can read and share authentic Ahadees and explanations as well. Hadith (the sayings of Prophet (saww), in practical terms, explains, clarifies, and paraphrases the Quran. Ahadees are central to a proper and complete understanding of the Quran. Without Ahadees, people may misread and misinterpret the Quran.

Importance Of Hadith

There are two fundamental sources of Islam are the Holy book Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAWW. By Sunnah, we mean the sayings, actions, and silent permissions or disapprovals of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It also refers to the optional religious duties. But here we are concerned with Hadees (the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) which is considered to be second to the Quran. So, in order to understand the Quran, reference to Ahadees is essential. Similarly, it impossible to explain a hadith without its reference and relating it to the Quran.
The Quran is the message of Allah, while the Hadees is the verbal translation of the message into pragmatic terms and it is the practical demonstration of the precepts laid down in the Quran.

Prophet Muhammad explained and illustrated the message of Allah in his practical life. Allah has commanded the following:

[Say: Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away, he (the Prophet) is only responsible for the duty placed on him (i.e. to convey Allah’s Message) and you for that placed on you. If you obey him, you shall be on the right guidance. The Messenger’s duty is only to convey (the message) in a clear way.] (An-Nur 24:54)

This verse clearly tells us the Muslims should be eager to learn and follow the teachings of the Prophet as expressed in Hadees. This tells the overriding importance of Hadith. Without Ahadees and explanations given by the Prophet (PBUH), the Quran may be misinterpreted and misunderstood by ordinary people. Through practical demonstrations and illustrations to his companions, Prophet (PBUH) explained how the Quranic verses must be read and interpreted & understood. For instance, the Quran doesn’t give details on how to pray, fast, pay zakah, or perform Hajj but these details are given by the Prophet PBUH through his words and actions. His (saww) own example is considered normative for the entire Muslim Ummah. The Prophet (saww) has set a perfect example for humans through his practical demonstrations of Quranic Verses in his life and Allah himself says;

[In God's messenger you have indeed a good example for everyone who looks forward with hope to God and the Last Day, and remembers God unceasingly".] (33: 21)

Allah Almighty commands us, in the Qur’an, not only to obey the Prophet (PBUH), but also to abide by his decisions as follows:

[But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make you (the Prophet] judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against your decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction.”](An-Nisaa’ 4:65)

It is obligatory that we look up to the Prophet’s (saww) exemplary character and morals and rely on and carry them out in our lives. That is not possible without studying Hadees. And through this online platform, you can share Ahadees and explanations with the Islamic community and help them not only in increasing knowledge but also make them better Muslims and to gain the pleasure of Allah.
