Following their 5-0 win against Bangladesh in the previous fixture, Pàlès-tìnè emerged victorious once again, with Michel Termanini netting a crucial goal in the 94th minute in Dhaka.
With seven points, Pàlès-tìnè maintains their second position in Group I, trailing behind Australia, with a five-point lead over Lebanon and six ahead of Bangladesh.
The top two teams from each of the nine groups in the second round will advance to the final round, where Asia's increased automatic allocation of eight World Cup spots will be at stake.
